What former SimonDelivers' customers had to say

- I found out 2 weeks ago that I had an injury leaving me on crutches for 6 weeks (stress fracture in my hip from running). I knew my husband would about die if he was in charge of buying groceries so I decided to give the online thing a whirl. What made me take the plunge were the ratings on your produce. I'm one that likes to rummage through the fruit and vegetable bins because I'm picky and want the best. I read in your "comments" section a few people discussing the improved quality of your produce. They were right and so were the ratings. Even my skeptical husband was completely impressed. I plan to continue SimonDelivers.com even after I'm healed and back to running again. - Katie S.

- My highlight of the year was sitting in an internet café last winter in Ko Sumi, Thailand, ordering my groceries to be delivered just as my plane was due to touch down in Minneapolis to insure some fresh food and minimal stress added to my re-entry back into reality. - Teresa

- Ever tried to keep a grocery list current with two cooks and four boys (ages 4 and messy to insatiably 15 in 2 weeks) in one house? It's virtually impossible, unless you cover a kitchen wall with white board or post it on line. Hence my favorite thing: outsourced mother memory function. It's wonderful. Now I have neurons to spare for baseball schedules, music lessons, after-school volunteering and those less critical items like work, finances, etc., etc. - Ann Marie

- We recently went on vacation for a week. It was great to know that groceries would be waiting when we got home! No more eating out after a week of vacation, we could stay home and make a great meal and relax! - Tawnia

- Is it just me, or is the freshness of the produce improving? My last order put the local grocery store to shame! The Romaine Lettuce looked like it had just been picked and placed directly into my box! No crushed leaves! Not one! The peppers were perfect and unblemished. No dimples or bruises. Just how many times do you suppose that the produce at the local market gets picked up and handled before I get there? How many kids have jammed their little hands into the pile of peppers? How many times has the employee had to restack the pile? In my mind, I can imagine the SimonDelivers Warehouse- one person reaches into the crate of Romaine Lettuce that just arrived direct from the grower- grabs mine out, bags it, and puts it in my box. One person. - Michelle

- What is not to love! I have almost forgotten what a pain it is to push a cart over ice rutted or slushy parking lots, pack my groceries in the back of my car and fish them out again when they fell over in the back seat, haul them through the house with wet boots, leaving a trail all the way....hmmmm.....maybe I want to do that again....NOT! Of course, that's not mentioning how easy it is to shop: pull up my list, check the items I want, look at the specials and new items, then hit the purchase icon. Finished. My groceries show up the next day. All while I wear my fluffy pink slippers. I love that. Thanks. - Jean

- My doctor recently put me on a low sodium diet. Simon absolutely ROCKS for finding foods that I can eat. I just click the low sodium icon and double check the nutrition information. It takes hours looking at labels in the grocery store to do the same thing. While I sit here enjoying my low sodium pop corn, and dreaming of tomorrow when I will treat myself to unsalted chips and low sodium salsa, I just wanted to say, "Thank you, SimonDelivers!" - Marie

- I think the highlight this year would be your blog. It makes me smile and at the end of a busy day that is eventful. So keep up the news, recipes and local fare and I will keep on reading. - Debbie

- Finally, you have received some great cheese. It has been missing for years and now I can really get all I need at Simon! - Kathy

- My first delivery was a thrilling moment, as I'd been working to meet deadlines in a fury that day. Had I not found SimonDelivers, I would've instead been sending my clients delay notices, so to gather food and supplies. I saw the yellow truck drive up from my office window, ran to open my garage door and when Ryan, my friendly "Simon Guy", began pushing the cart full of totes up the drive, I loudly proclaimed, "I LOVE YOU!" He just grinned and said, "I've been hearing that a lot lately! Welcome to the club!" I explained to him that I don't buy often, but I buy as much as I can at one time. He assured me that it wasn't a requirement and even offered to go to the store for me if I'd forgotten to order anything. I was amazed! Are you guys for real? - Bonnie

- The day you started posting the estimated delivery time of my order was such a blessing. I have learned that I am able to rely on that posted time so that I can do other things instead of making sure I am within earshot of the doorbell. Things like vacuum the house, do I have time to take a shower, can I work in the back yard or garage for an hour, the list goes on. Thank you Simon! - Brent

- The most helpful feature for me has been "same day delivery". I tend to wait until the situation is dire before remembering to order groceries and that feature has saved the day more times than I dare admit to. - Heather

- My favorite things about SimonDelivers are the ability to use coupons, the produce freshness icons on the website, the delivery time updates and the delicious recipes. I made the Crostini with Fig and Brie and Prosciutto for an appetizer for Thanksgiving. It was delicious. - Diane

- I'm not a blog reader but I must admit to enjoying yours. Thanks for the effort and the wit. Along with your wonderful blog I love the Real Simple feature and helpful recipes. The fact that I can do a quick order of needed ingredients really helps me plan a menu. - Karen

- I really enjoyed the wine/cheese tasting event/tour, it was like going to Willy Wonka, seeing behind the scenes, etc. I even brought my sister and my best friend so they could see for themselves how great this is. I tell everyone how wonderful this organization is, from the best produce in the twin cities to your incredible staff. Just knowing I don’t have to worry about getting the grocery/liquor store is a huge task off my list of things to do. Especially during the holidays when we are all really pressed for time. I really do not know what I would do with SimonDelivers.com. - Denice

- I love how SimonDelivers provides you with an estimated delivery time. We all live busy lives and narrowing the time down within a ½ hour is very helpful. - Susan

- The best part of SimonDelivers for me is not having to guess at how good the produce is. I love the BEST, BETTER, GOOD labels- they really let me know how good the produce is and is usually very accurate. I also love the recipes- I have found some great ones that my whole family loves. Why would anyone bother going to the grocery store??? - Shay

- Actually, I like our delivery-guy-Ryan because he somehow knew not to ring the door bell (with an infant, it made the dogs go crazy and would wake the baby wake up) when dropping off deliveries and still doesn't even though our son is now 4 years old. Now, he comes to the door and I am so caught up in my work on the computer that I can still manage not to see him....He has a way of getting my attention gently which doesn't send me into shock, wake the baby, or stir up the dogs. Ryan is the bomb! - Sloan

- I have used the change the delivery date feature and found it to be the main reason I have continued with Simon. I can shop any day and have delivery the next. - Brad

- There were a lot of great things about SimonDelivers that I really enjoyed this year. But one of the best for me was the recipes. I made the Olive Oil Dip with Vegetables for my in-laws at Thanksgiving, and they loved it! My mother-in-law raved about it for hours, and confided in me that when I described it to her she didn’t think she would like it, but she was very pleasantly surprised! - Avonelle

- I just love the new produce rating system—I can’'t tell you how often I rely on your seasonal tips for "best" fruits and vegetables to determine the week's menu and shopping list. Thank you for the consistently fabulous produce and for the handy navigation tool to finding the "best" for my family. It's much appreciated! - Susannah

- I liked the selection of easy/simple recipes. I tried so many of them....and fell in love with several like the cantaloupe with champagne dressing/chicken/fresh mint/English cucumber. Hmmm...what a great summer treat! - Carolyn

- SimonDelivers helps me make good food decisions for my family. I use the health benefits indicators, the product freshness ratings and the detailed label information to make my meal plan. Preplanning enables us to choose foods that are better for us (avoiding all the temptations of the supermarket) and that are within our budget. Thank you SimonDelivers. - Paula

- I really liked the Delivery Pass. I'm on a student budget these days, as I've returned to school, and since we order from you nearly weekly, it really helps. I also like the "good, better, best" for the produce. - Lisa

- As for my favorites this past year, I'd have to say that I like the fact that I can pick a different delivery time with each order very easily. Also, I like the fact that every time I order, the delivery is on time and delivered to my "back" door as specified...I've never had an issue with it not being at the correct place. - Keith

- NOT having to slog through snow to bring my groceries from the car into my house! - Lara

- I just have to say that last year when there was a shortage of good produce because of frost all over the country, I never ONCE received a bad produce item from SimonDelivers. I couldn't find good produce at the grocery store but Simon's always had it! I don't know how you do it! - Cori

- My little one was sick, and I ordered popsicles, bubble bath, and ginger ale (among other things) and it was delivered the next morning before he even woke up – very convenient! - Liz

- Hands down I love the delivery pass and the fact that when I purchase it I can place orders for $50 to be delivered free. Honestly I can order twice a week in quantities that I need, not needing to worry if I'm forgetting something. - Elisabeth

- I have to be honest, my favorite addition was the same day delivery! Anyone who knows me will attest that I am not so great at planning ahead so to be able to order by 10am and have groceries the same day is a huge bonus! - Toni

- I especially like the produce ratings, the nutritional information and, last but definitely not least, the "in cart" designation. I would also like to say that your product or order error rate is wonderful. You rarely get anything wrong and if you do, all I have to do is call – amazing! Your organization is superb! - Linda

- Too many! The best and most recent is FAGE yogurt. It's not as sour as American yogurt. And the little jam sidecar! It even has instructions NOT to mix it in. So you have to take a spoon and load it with the yogurt and the jam. It reminds me of the story in French Women Don't Get Fat by Mireille Guiliano of the summer she spent in Greece and ate nothing but peaches and yogurt. And lost weight. I don't think I'll lose weight eating FAGE yogurt, but I have been buying the 2% version. - Margaret

- I've never been able to stick to my budget as well as with Simon. The cart is totaled as I go, and no strolling traditional isles being tempted with impulse buys. Staying on target is easier than ever and the website SO easy to maneuver in. I have a weekly date with Simon, he's the best! - Holly

- I am one of your biggest fans, but if I had to choose just ONE thing that is the very best thing about SimonDelivers I would have to say your delivery staff. Every single delivery person has been kind, courteous, respectful and just plain helpful. - Julie

- It was the day before Thanksgiving...time to make pies. I brought my SimonDelivers order in, but the eggs I ordered weren't delivered because they were out of stock. I did not want to have to go to a store the day before Thanksgiving, and I was frothed. Instead of just going to the store and taking care of business, I sent off an email suggesting that SimonDelivers substitute one of the other brands that was in stock instead of leaving people high and dry without pie! I swear, it wasn't half an hour before a SimonDelivers delivery person arrived with three dozen eggs. That's customer service! - Ellen

- My favorite thing about SimonDelivers is when the snow starts to fly I can pour a nice, hot cup of coffee, order my groceries, and just sit back and wait for them to be hand delivered to me. It sure beats struggling to push a loaded cart through a store parking lot with six inches of snow! - Chris
